Ok you Kansas City ladies...you've been holding out on us. My DH & I make the trek to KC 3-4 times a year to shop. We went this week to finish up our Christmas shopping and happened on a new store at Oak Park. It is called Sergent Major and has absolutely adorable clothing. It is a French brand and KC is the only store in the U.S. They are opening it as a concept store, so if it takes off (I have a feeling it will), look for one at a mall near you. Their website is http://www.sergent-major.com. It is in French, but they do have a few pics of their wares! Here is what Harper is getting for Christmas, even though I said no clothes. I just couldn't resist. Like many other posts here, the pics don't do the clothing justice.

I got this to wear with jeans. It also matches the dress below.

I'll try to take photos of DD wearing this stuff, but she is in bed for the night & I just had to share my finds!

Here is a pic of my little shopper braving a cold morning on the Plaza. This is the first time she has been in her stroller without the car seat & she loved checking everything out!

Mindy, I didn't even KNOW about this store!!! Thank you for the scoop, I will definitely be checking it out next week!

The clothes look TDF cute, and Harper looks adorable out on the town! What a cutie!

But more importantly, are you still in town? I hope you enjoyed the Plaza and got to see the lights. It's one of Kathleen's favorite things at Christmas time! :)

Maureen-
They just opened 3 weeks ago, so very new. We came home last night. Three days of shopping was enough for Harper! We came down on Wednesday with a stop in Atchison at Nell Hill's on the way. The Plaza lights were beautiful as always. We stayed at the Raphael this time & had a great view.

I interned in KC my summers during college. The friend I lived with used to take me to an adorable boutique children's clothing store. This was 10 years ago, so not certain it is still around. I did a couple searches online, but didn't find anything. It may have been on Wornall (or near there) & had an animal's name in the name. Something like the Spotted Giraffe? Or, something Aligator? Does this ring any bells? Like I said this was several years ago, so they could be long gone. Thought I'd ask!

Have fun checking out Sergent Major. On Friday, everything in the store was 15% off. Not sure if that is still going on or not.

Mindy, sounds like you had such a fun weekend! I haven't been to Nell Hills since last year--I am in serious need of a trip to Atchison! It's always WAYYYY too busy around Christmas time though, so I'll wait till next month.

The name doesn't ring a bell, but I will ask my mom and some of her friends. My SIL's mother knows every cute boutique in town so I will ask her too.

Next time you come into town, let me know and we'll get together! :)
