Who all is going shopping? Where do you think the best deals will be?

Target sales sucked last year and that's about the only place I hit on Dec. 26. Not sure if I'll venture out this year.

I'm going to try to figure out Mia's size *NEXT* December so I can get holiday dress up clothes for our cruise next year, as well as Christmas. I did pretty well this year, especially since we didn't even have her yet!

Any hints on the best way? Plot it on the height/weight chart, guess from her current size, etc?

I got an email this morning that Janeville will be having markdowns for the 26th and if you go before noon you get an extra 35% off clearance.

Kimberly, kids slow down their growth to about one size a year after they hit age 2. So take whatever size Mia is wearing now (2T?) and add one (say to make it 3T). This isn't guaranteed, but there is a good likelihood that it will fit.

I agree, after size 2T they wear all the sizes for a full year.

Thanks, ladies! It's been a long time since I played the sizing game with a little one.

I was going to get her a size 5 for next December - both Christmas and the cruise. Think I should stick with a 4 if she's in a 3T top/2T bottom now?

I just bought Mia size 4 tops (the size 3's are just a wee bit too big now) and size 3T leggings from the Dandelion Wishes line for her to wear at our [proposed] WDW trip Easter week to see her oldest brother's band march at the Magic Kingdom. Keep your fingers crossed!

::nudge:: I'm waffling on the size 4 or size 5 dresses. She fits a size 3T dress perfectly now, no room to grow, and is a 3T top/2T bottom otherwise.

TIA!!!!!

Now, off to wrap presents...

I think I would go with the 4T mostly because she's till a 2T for bottoms. The 5 would probably be really long on her. This is why I'm just not buying ahead anymore. M's growth has been so weird- plus she's short and has a pretty round belly. Have fun wrapping :)

I would do size 4. Also, 3T is smaller than size 3 (girl's sizing) in most catalogs, so by going to size 4, you are essentially going up 2 sizes.

DS is only 3 months, but he's already in size 6-9 months clothes. He's 17lbs and about 25 inches long. Will I be able to buy ahead and if so what size should I get for next year?

I would buy 24 months for next year. Your DS sounds like my DS#1 (he's 4 1/2 and wears size 5 now, but was about the same size as your DS at 3 months).

Thanks for the input! I went out yesterday and didn't see any difference than if it was aregular day! After Thanksgiving is so much better. I'm still holding out for all the Jan. sales though!
