OK, I love the DW line (at least for baby girl). I already bought one outfit-- the froggie pants and froggie shirt.

And, I've added another outfit:

Plus, I'm getting this sweater:

My "rule" is to only buy one outfit per line (or two if I really love the line and the outfits look different. So... there are still two other outfits from this line I'm thinking about. Should I break my rule and buy another one?

I like this dress:

And I like these jeans:

If I got the jeans, I'd probably return the veggie cuff ones. I have this outfit from GWL:

What do you think? Anyone have the blue dress? I know someone posted pics of the Dandelion jeans but I can't remember who. So, do you like the dandelion jeans better than the veggie ones? Obviously, the dandelion sweater would go well with the jeans, but I haven't picked out a shirt yet.

Also... (thanks for sticking with me through this) I'm not sure about sizes. The froggie outfit shown above is 12-18 bottoms and a 18-24 top. I really don't know if I could go up a size for spring, do you? If I get the dandelion jeans, I'll probably get them in a 12-18 as well. The 12-18 dandelion jeans are longer than the 18-24 veggie cuff jeans that fit her as full length pants. If I do buy them and they are too short, she could always wear them as capris, right?

Marie, you've definitely picked the 2 best outfits (IMHO) from the DW line! I think it's OK to break your one-outfit rule if a line truly speaks to you (and I like the idea if it's totally different too). And that blue dress is very different from the other 2, and would be beautiful with Ella Paige's gorgeous blue eyes!

I think I like the DW jeans better than the veggie ones, but I LOVE that veggie outfit, esp. the cardie. So cute! Maybe tell yourself that if you get another DW outfit, then you'd have to return the GWL outfit, and then you can compare which full outfit you'd like best between the 2.

As for sizes, those 12-18 froggie pants look like there is plenty of growth room for spring. 12-18 would probably work for the DW jeans too! And you bet, she can wear them as capris if they are too short, and still be super-stylish! :)

Can't wait to see what you get at GB redemption--I'm living vicariously thru you all since I have no GBs, and totally forgot to pick up the striped swimsuit for Ellen during the sale 2 days ago--DOH! x( I guess I will have to wait for it to go on sale, and hope it does before it sells out.

Marie,

I like all of these outfits, and have you seen the dragonfly tee? TDF.

I think the 12-18 looks big enough in the froggy pants, and I love the colors on EP.

If you decide to return the veggie cardigan, let me know. I may be tempted!

Best,
Mary

I really like the froggy outfit and the skirt. I think the jeans are cute but I personally prefer the veggie ones. There's something about them that I really like but can't put my finger on. I do like the fact that they are cropped, too, rather than full length like the dandelion jeans. The DW jeans are cute but I don't think they are *as* cute.

I don't really like the blue dress but if you get it and I see it on EP I might just change my mind! LOL! I don't need to do that, though, since we've got enough from DW!! LOL! I had the green DW sweater picked out to get but put it back when my total came up to more than the GB I had to redeem. I may still get it if it's still around when the line goes down some. I think it's adorable.

It looks to me like the 12-18 mos jeans will work for EP if you get them. The froggy pants appear to be a good length.

Marie,

I don't actually have the DW jeans but we do have the GWL capris which we love. I say stick with the GWL capris because I think they will last longer. I think the DW jeans would look a little funny as capris since they are flared although that is only my opinion. Take it with a grain of salt. ;-)

I like the SW dress though and I think it is different enough from your other outfits to justify getting all three. One question though, do your girls wear dresses and or skirts enough to justify getting more than one from a single line? If they do, then I say go for it.

Well, I don't know if this is helpful, but just some thoughts based on my own gymboree over-buying:

I wouldn't get two white t-shirts from the same line.

I would go with s/s over l/s since you can always pair with a cardi, and you eliminate the sleeve dragging in the food issue.

Although I love all three pieces from the veggie line, the cardi is by far the cutest. I would pair with a solid tee from that line instead of the white. Also, all three pieces seem kind of busy together.

Something that's worked well for us is to get jeans at Target. They're plain so they match more. They're cheap so if the kids scoot around in the dirt, etc, then they've only ruined a $5 pair of pants and not a $20 pair.

By the way, I love the plaid skirt and am considering getting it. Maybe even with the blue or green plain tee.

Thanks, everyone!! Even though you all have different opinions, it has helped to hear all of them.

I'm still thinking about it, but I'm leaning toward sticking with the two (only) outfits from DW. I really like the jeans and the blue dress (blue looks amazing on EP) but there will be soooooo many more things from Gymboree (as well as other stores) to come, so I need to pace myself.

I might see if the new solids tees and bodysuits match the colors in GWL. If so, I might switch to a plain colored tee/bodysuit for the GWL outfit. I have mixed feelings about the jeans, but I *love* the sweater.

I suspect that I might not spend anywhere near all of my Gymbucks (GASP!)

I think I'm going to start another post with some pics and sizing questions. Any more help you can provide will be appreciated!

Don't know if you decided yet, but wanted to add my opinion. Although I love DW, I didn't care for the jeans as much as the other pieces. I think it's the green bows on the pockets. They look much cuter online than IRL, so I would go with the veggie outfit. I also don't think the DW pants will look good short.

As far as the dress goes, it's NMS, but the sales clerk told me they were selling fast. I think you'll get more wear out of it than the average dress too. Plus, if I recall, you like the preppy look, so I would say to go for the dress and skip the pants.

Thanks :-) . I'm either going to go with the blue dress or just stick with my initial two outfits. I may try it on her at the store today. We'll see if she cooperates!
