I kind of skipped over the new Gymbo Newborn Essentials when WFF came out (I briefly looked at the frogs which they have under boys), but I was just looking at these online and I think for little babies (say 9-12 months and younger) these are REALLY cute. Maybe I'm just corny. I think the colors are nice (from what I can tell online). Maybe you guys could tell me how the quality and colors are IRL. I'm posting these as the enlargements because you can see the detail. Am I nuts for thinking some of these are cute for newborns and infants? Or is this over the top cute?

This looks fun and bright and cheery and that little pig peeking out of the pocket is so cute.

Check out the little caterpiller zipper pull. It kind of reminds me of the little pineapple on one of my favorite newborn cardigans I had for Andie from the Pineapple layette line last summer.

Don't mind me ladies. I've been overly hormonal this week and have cried several times about how quickly Andie is growing.

Kerry, I saw these today. I think the pig is cute, but the chick weirds me out a little. Maybe it's the super big black eyes? I don't know. The terry one-piece is cute, and the onesie is really cute. Maybe with the knit pants?

I know what you mean... I am hormonal too... and halfway through a pan of mint No-Pudge brownies... so much for my diet!

I think they're adorable & want to get the chick onesie for my little boy, who's due in May (sick of blue). DD is 26 months & I still like to dress her in some baby-ish things when I can get away with it. You're right - they grow up fast enough as it is.

Well, I thought the pink pig stuff was adorable! The frogs, too. But, I just can't deal with that chick! It's not that I don't like chicks, or gender neutral clothing, or yellow. It's those EYES!! Man, that bug-eyed chick gives me the creeps! LOL! I was holding the stuffed animal yesterday in the store and telling them how much I didn't like it. *They* thought it was cute (well, really, what else are they gonna say?!). *I* thought it will give a kid nightmares! LOL!

(Obviously this is all a bit of exaggeration but I really don't dig the chick. ;) )

ETA: Really, the eye thing is *much* worse on the stuffed animal than the clothing. See?

And now, I'm wondering if anyone else thinks the frog hat is even weirder??

I didn't even look at the layette stuff and I think the pink piggies are adorable. But I agree with Denise and Allison about the chick's creepy eyes.

And don't get me started on that frog hat! It looks like an alien!

The pig items are adorable! But I have to agree with everyone else on the chicks...the are freaky looking!

I saw these IRL and did a double take. They are really cute, and the sleeveless one looked to me like it would be cute now with a ls onesie and socks, and then when the weather gets warm all on its own.

I like the pig best, then the frog, then the duck. But I could very well like the duck better if I took it out from under the Gymboree fluorescent lighting - ick. The lighting in my store makes all the yellows look a bit garish IMO.

Enjoy these little outfits while you can....I turned these down as I think they'll be "too babyish" (did I say that? OMG!) for Sophie, as she turned 1 in November.

Best,
Mary

Kerry,
I love the pig line! It's really cute. I think you should dress your baby like as baby as long as you can! I am considering the l/s pink piece for Ava to wear as pjs and I really like the sleeveless outfit with the l/s onesie, but I will probably wait to see if I can get it on sale later on.

The chicks and frogs don't bother me at all. I think it's all pretty cute :)

ETA: Saw it all IRL today and I didn't like the bright pink one-piece -- not as soft as I hoped. The sleeveless one-piece and onesie were very cute, though! The pig stuffed animal is really cute too. I tried to distract Ava with it in the store and she liked it so much it came home with us.

I'm not a big fan of pigs, but the pig stuff is so cute. I don't mind the duck and frog, but the hats are kinda of strange looking. JMO.

I LOVE the pig stuff. The pig pants were my favorite. If dd were just a little younger, I would definitely buy them as well as that one-piece overalls outfit. Very cute indeed.
