This is from departures.com, which I believe is the e-zine for American Express Platinum and Centurian cardholders. The article is called, Clothes Encounters of the Appropriate Kind, and it's about dressing children in VERY high end clothing. The writer talks about their child's Italian friend who was dressed in exquisite Italian childrenswear while visiting their home in the Hamptons.

After reading this, it makes our interest in Gymbo, J&J and Hanna look CHEAP. There is some crazy stuff out there and this is crazier than us. LOL Okay, and I'll admit I clicked on some of the links to some European stores and now if I travel to any of those cities (Vienna, Milan, Paris) I want to at least "window shop" or maybe find something extra special on sale.

I love sharing this kind of stuff just for fun.

I clicked on the Rachel Riley link in the article. OH MY. Gorgeous stuff. How beautiful are these:

How about $129 pajamas? Yep, all of a sudden hanna zippers seem positively miserly!

I love making my hubby look at stuff like this!! Then he thinks Gymbo is a discount store because he has no basis of reality of what clothing should cost! :)

Those links are fun :) I am somewhat familiar with some of those lines only because European designers tend to design much cuter boy's clothing than American designers. I cannot pay full price, though, but I have snagged some great deals on ebay on some of those lines.

I was lucky enough to stumble across Bois de Rose while in Paris & pregnant. Since I just *knew* I was having a girl I brought home a beautiful red smocked holiday dress. Well my "little girl" is a fun loving, adorable DS! But I do have at least one special dress waiting for a little girlie one day.

Since you have a little girl I highly recommend this store for beautiful, traditional dresses!!!

There are 2 European boutique stores in town + I like to go in for a good laugh. The outfits are literally 200-300 dollars each. They're cute but I just don't get it. These stores have been around for awhile so I'm assuming people buy these outfits for their children.
