A couple pics from our shopping trip... look at my girl walking!

First up from J&J are the DD overalls and embroidered collar onesie. The overalls are running very long -- these are 6-12 and they're a good 2" longer than the three other pairs of J&J overall we have. What's even crazier is that the onesie is an 18-24 and it doesn't have much growing room at all!

Second is the patchwork jumper and dragonfly tee. I didn't like the Dragonfly patchwork stuff at all when the line first came out, but after seeing some pics of it on another board, it really grew on me. Both of these seem to run true to size.

Here is the jumper with the onesie instead of the tee. Which do you prefer?

Saw the lookbook for the new line that comes out next Wed. It's called In Bloom and the main colors are pale yellow and pale green. Very pretty line with lots of delicate florals and dressy dresses. I like it a lot, but will probably skip most of it since the colors aren't great for Ava. There was one cute outfit with green gingham capris that we might get. There is also a sweet cardie -- delicate white loose knit that would go with a ton of stuff. It's similar to the white DD cardie, only it's completely plain.

The new layette line is all pinks with an adorable apron dress. It was so cute that I kind of forgot the rest of the line :) The Easter line will be out next, in mid- to late Feb. There is also an adorable circus-themed line for boys (not sure if it is layette or regular).

Talbots Kids is two stores down from J&J so I stopped in to see what they had. Forgot they were holding their semi-annual sale! I picked up this sweater and denim skirt.

LOVE the sweater -- it is super soft and the colors are beautiful. DH doesn't like the skirt, but I think I'll keep it since it goes with lots of things and was only $9.

Thanks for letting me share!

Wow! I love the Talbots sweater. It's adorable, as is Ava.

I prefer the collared shirt to the t-shirt with the patchwork jumper.

I love the overalls. I can't believe the sizing is that off.

She is such a sweetie! I always love seeing Ava's modeling pics!

First I love all the J&J stuff! The overalls are so cute and I really *love* the patchwork jumper. I can't decide which shirt looks better. Maybe the t-shirt but then you're missing the design on the front, right? Would the tee look cute with the Talbots denim skirt for a change-up?

I really love the Talbots sweater, too. I know what you mean about hitting both stores at once...whenever we're there I always go to J&J and then breeze by Talbots, too, and usually pop in Restoration Hardware. :) As for the Talbots skirt, I'm afraid I'm with your dh...it's not my fave but I don't hate it either. It was a good deal and is very versatile so you should probably hang on to it.

Love the new J&J stuff- and Ava looks so cute walking around in it :) I think the collared shirt looks better with the patchwork dress. I love the overalls, too!
I saw that Talbots sweater months ago I believe, and fell in love with it. I didn't buy it but still love it. I say keep the skirt, too. I finally found a different skirt for M at Old Navy but yours was a better price!
Great pics!!

Thanks for sharing the pics and for the scoop on the new lines! Green gingham capris . . . I'm reaching for my credit card already. :-)

I actually like the Dragonfly jumper with the t-shirt (though both look good); the clean lines of the t-shirt don't compete with the dress straps and kind of make the whole thing look casual (in a good way).

Don't know if that makes sense.

Thanks again for sharing! I love seeing pics of Ava.

I think I like the jumper with the tee better. It looks crisper if you know what I mean.

I love that Talbots skirt! It will look better as she gets taller, I think. But I would certainly keep it, especially for the price. You can put it with a tee for any summer holiday where you want to be casual but look girly. I love funky things like that.

It all looks adorable on Ava. It's so cute that she is walking now.

I like the dragonfly tee with the jumper. Though the onesie looks cute too. I know what you mean about the overalls. We have a pair like that too. I have a hard enough time with sizing without having things run way too big.

I have been eyeing that sweater from Talbots. I love it!!! The skirt is cute too, especially for the price.

ETA: Did you get your online order yet? Please post pics of Ava in the swimsuit, I'm dying to see it on her.

My order didn't come last week! It is scheduled for delivery tomorrow, so I will get Ava to model as soon as it arrives! I saw the new swimsuits in the store and they are so cute.

I can't decide about the overalls. They are so pretty, but they don't fit her 100% right. They are a little baggy under the arms. I am thinking about getting the purple skirt to wear with the dragonfly tee and just wearing the jumper with a plain white onesie/tee. But then I would have THREE outfits from this line!

I also want these shoes. They are so cute!

If your Talbots still has the sweater, get it! It was only $15 on sale and it is so thick and soft.

Those tennies are so cute! I might have to break down and buy them, too! LOL!

If you end up returning the overalls but then get the skirt, you'll only have two outfits, right? :D Trying to look for a positive!

Ava looks so pretty in it all - I especially love the patchwork jumper.

Is the new line coming out tomorrow, Jan. 26th, or the following Wednesday? The new line sounds really cute - love gingham. I'm hoping the DD line will be on sale then.

Robyn,

Oh, Ava is just darling!! I like her new things and it is so nice to see her standing up and walking! My favorite is definitely the overalls. I just *love* J&J's overalls, don't you? They are so soft and sweet. We have the Winter Cozy ones and I love putting them on EP.

I love the Talbots sweater and skirt too. I avoided the Talbots Kids' after Christmas sale this year. We really didn't need anything and I didn't want to be tempted.

Well, I think I'm going to be buying a lot more J&J this year. I'm getting so sick of Gymboree and with Hanna not having any codes, I think it will just mean more J&J!

Ava's new J&J is adorable. I love the patchwork jumper. I prefer the onesie underneath with the peter pan collar.

Talbot's kids has such cute things. I wish we had the kids version at a store near us. I would love to take advantage of those great sales!! The jean skirt will be a nice basic item to have.

Tomorrow I think! At least that is when it is supposed to be online. I heard on Gymborebel that it may not be in stores until Friday or Saturday.
