With my 1 gymbuck, after an exchange (I originally had the lavender top & cargo pants from PL but acknowledged, regardless how beautiful it was, DD didn't need anymore long sleeved outfits) I now have the swiss dot dress and lime green swing top. I'm not sure about the sizing - I have 6-12 months in both. DD is just about getting into 6-12 months now. Actually, 6-12 looks big on her but 3-6 is definitely getting small on her. Should I get 12-18? Will that be too big?

I haven't tried the dress on yet (afraid she'll spit up on it and then I can't do an exchange). With dresses, can babies "outgrow" a size and yet still fit into a dress but they'll just be short? Don't know if this makes a difference but she's got a relatively thin tummy/upper body.

We're in NJ so we probably won't be able to wear the dress until May.

By the way, the swiss dot dress is gorgeous!

Hmmm, I only have one baby so not a lot of experience, lol, but here goes...

I tend to dress her in clothes that are a bit big on her. She was born 11/28/03 and last summer I bought her 6-12's in Gymboree summer clothes. These were precious in June-July but by August I was wishing I had sized up in some of the smaller items, and actually picked up a couple of things on mega-clearance to get through the end of the summer (I'm in NJ too).

She's about 50% for weight and 75% for height. At 13 months she was 22 lbs and 30.5 inches.

In the dress I'd watch for "pinch places" that might make it a squeeze in a few months. If you're worried, pick it up in a 12-18 at the extra 25% off sale this weekend, then return the one that you don't need in May (you have 6 months to return).

Hope this helps a little,

Best,
Mary

Thanks for the info. My daughter is in the same exact percentiles as weight and height as yours! I might pick it up in the next size and then see which is better come late spring/early summer.

Where in NJ are you?
