In Bloom: There are so many pretty things in this line! We'll be skipping most of it because yellow isn't the best color for Ava, but I think we'll at least get:

Garden Party layette:
I have a feeling we'll be getting this:

I just checked it out. There's some really pretty stuff, but nothing we need. For all the ladies who love smocking though, there are a couple of smocked pieces:

I can't believe how similar it is to Gymbo's WFF line!! Good grief. It's really just WFF with a classier, more traditional twist. I'm bummed. :( These colors just don't look good on AG. At least Gymbo had some orange. I love the J&J green gingham pants but I wish there was a green shirt to go with them rather than just white. I like white shirts but we can only have so many of them and they just stain so easily.

I do *love* this sweater and will probably get it:

Do you think it will be one of those items they carry from line to line and it never goes on sale??

Sadly, the girl's layette line is *much* more my style! I love it but AG is too big for their layette. I think the new boys racing line is really cute. I love light blue and red together. But the layette boys Flea Circus line is a little strange to me. I mean, who wants to put FLEAS on their baby boy??? LOL!

ITA re: the similarity to Gymbo's WFF. I had 3 GymBucks so we got quite a bit of WFF, so most of J&J's new line would just be redundant. I'm with you on the white tops as well. My experience with J&J is very limited, but it seems like they do lots of white... just not practical for my active, messy toddler!

I was so excited to see the new lines this AM and yet I'm just not blown away by the girls line. I really like the layette line. I've been thinking about it all morning and I want these for sure:

After getting the dragonflies smocked romper, I am now in love with these J&J rompers. They make getting a J&J "outfit" more aforadble as it's one piece. The style really flatters Andie too. :) I really, really want these socks, but will only get them after a markdown. I have a problem with paying $7 for a pair of socks.

I'm definitely getting this dress. The hat is a maybe, although it is reversable and I love the value of reversible hats (2 in 1).

Robyn, the outfit you posted (gingham pants and hat and a shirt) will be a markdown only outfit for me, but I think it's darling.

As I've mentioned before, I'm getting pretty sick of Gymboree and I've made the decision to buy more of other brands this spring/summer. Unfortunately, this new J&J line isn't even tempting to me. It is pretty and EP looks *okay* in yellow, but she looks better in other colors. Also, I definitely agree that this looks a lot like WFF.

I do really like the layette line, but unfortunately Ella Paige is too big for it now :-( .

I think the gingham pants are really cute - may get those. I also have a plain white pintuck short sleeve blouse that I picked up on sale at J&J for $6.00 so it will go with the pants - no need to buy the one they are presently selling to go with it.

I like the colors in the layette line. I like the jumper that Robyn and Kerry posted. But it seems like I keep getting sucked into buying the cute little dresses and I wonder how many we will use - although I suppose in the summer dresses get worn more because you don't have to deal with tights. I also like these pants from the layette line - but don't really love any of the tops that go with it. The cardigan is adorable - but again, J&J sucks you into buying the matching cardigans which are $$ so I will probably skip it.

Luckily, I don't NEED to have any of their new lines enough to pay full price. I can wait until stuff goes on sale and take my chances. Plus, I am sure they will be coming out with some very cute stuff for late spring/summer.

I agree with Denise on the all white top issue! I am wishing there were more colored tops also! After looking over my cart, I decided to just get the gingham hat & capris and pair them with a plain pink or white tee from Old Navy:

That way if it gets stained, I'm only out $6 ;)

I always get sucked in to buying the cardies also! I decided to "invest" in the white sweater that just came out with the In Bloom line in 12-18 and 18-24 and pair that with our spring/summer outfits instead of buying matching cardies for each one like I usually end up doing.

That is a good idea. Last year, I looked all over to find a PLAIN white cardie. I finally found one at BRU, but it took a long time. I guess maybe I started looking too late.

When Kyleigh wakes up, we're off to the mall. I hope our J&J has the new line out. I remember reading somewhere about it not being out until this weekend on the east coast.

I was a bit disappointed in this line. Tulips are my favorite flower, so I guess I had high hopes. I do like the gingham capris, paired with either of these tops, and the hat.

I am also going to check out the smocked romper and dress. Though I'm not sure how the pale yellow will look on my dd.

The layette line is pretty, I love the dress that pp have posted.

Robyn:

Those tees are cute and agreat price. I bet the pink one (or white too) would go with the stripe J&J layette pants. I think I am going to get those!

We'll expect a full report when you return! I want to hear what you think about the layette dress especially since that is the one thing I am not sure about.

I was so looking forward to checking out the new layette and the girls line but I just came back from J&J and sad to report they don't have it out yet.

I agree that the In Bloom line is similar to WWF in terms of color. I already have 3 outfits from WWF so I doubt I'll get anything from In Bloom, except for the gingham pants (I have a bit of obsession w/gingham). The striped layette pants are darling and if they are as cute IRL as they are online, I'll definitely be purchasing those.

Also, I'm a bit disappointed that the Dragonflies line hasn't gone on sale yet. How much longer do we have to wait?!?

Our store is one that is receiving its shipment late. It won't be in until Friday or Saturday:( I was so bummed. I did look at the look book. I liked it better in the look book, the colors seemed brighter. But it is hard to tell.
