that make my baby look like a baby! I don't care if they are short or long sleeved either. I have a 4 month old and while she has some really cute clothes some of them look like mini versions of grown up clothes. Or they are really cute but just not baby, they look like kid clothes. I am not loving the one pieces at Gymboree right now, the one I guess I like the most is Paper Lanterns but still the color is not doing it for me. I want girly but not all fancy, just basic cotton (no feet) one piece outfits.

I have looked at Sears, JCPenney, Kohls, Target, Children's Place and Walmart since those are all we have in the area. Old Navy does not have anything that floats my boat...I don't want a logo or ironed on patch on it. Gap did not have much either.

Thanks!
Alicia

Lands End, Hanna Andersson, Baby Gap all come to mind. Try Carter's too.

Did you try the layette section in Macy's, Bloomingdales or other large department stores. They have lots of one piece outfits and if you catch Macy's during a sale (which it seems like they have one most of the time) you can get the clothes very reasonably priced. (I walked out with a RL one piece, $34 value, marked down to $8.50) And I think they have a large selection, some very cute stuff that definitely screams "baby".

Good luck and hope this helps.

You said you looked at Children's Place, but did you see this one?

I think it's adorable! And CP has such soft cotton. I used to LOVE their little dresses because they were like onsies with shirts and had snaps between the legs.

These 2 are from BabyStyle

You can also check out bestdressedkids.com and they sell a ton of different brands.

When my DS was still new, our favorite place for adorable baby stuff was Carters. Their layette lines are adorable and are very affordable! You can buy Carter's at their own stores/outlets, Kohl's, Penneys, Sears, BRU, etc. We bought other stuff from BRU, Kohl's, Baby Gap, Target (especially the infant stuff and layette stuff), and Land's End.

I find it hard to find cute stuff for my toddler that is the right combination of cute without being too babyish and cute w/o being a miniature version of adult stuff. But in the baby lines, we had lots of fun finding and buying clothes!

ITA about Carter's. I think they have very cute baby stuff & I've already bought things for my son, due in May. I even got Kaitlin some of their one-piece rompers last summer in 24 months & they were awesome too!

Thanks!!

I made a trip to a larger city today and checked out Gap Kids, Talbots Kids, Janie and Jack, Gymboree and Bloomingdales. I did not buy anything but did see some stuff at J$J that was so cute!! I guess I am just too cheap because I can't justify spending over $15 on a one piece outfit. With separates I feel at least I could mix and match them to make more outfits but a one piece is always just one outfit!!

I did not get a chance to stop at the outlet mall but they have Carter's, Old Navy, Gap, OshKosh and Little Me. I guess that is my next trip.

Alot of the department stores I looked at already had spring/summer out and while they had some cute stuff it was not what I was looking for. We are having days where it gets in the teens and twenties and sleeveless rompers just don't cut it!

Thanks again!
