A couple of people asked me to post a review when I received these, and I'm happy to oblige. For those that missed the original post, here's what the shoes look like:

They are available on Garnet Hill's web site in Hot Pink, Lime, and Orange. Ours are Hot Pink, although they're not as *bright* as the name implies. They're made out of a very sturdy canvas that looks like it'll hold up very well. There's quite a bit of texture to them, so I don't think every little spot will show. The soles are very flexible and the contoured footbed is supposed to conform to the child's feet. They seem to run true to size. I've been buying DD size 7 for Spring/Summer, so I ordered these in a 23 and they have just the right amount of room in the toe. DD wore them for several hours and seemed to really like them.

The only downside I can find to these shoes is the price - $48.00. There is a 10% off code though (444), so that helps a little bit. I like the shoes a lot and suspect that DD will wear them often. I plan to do them both with socks and barefoot.

Thanks for the review, Lisa. I'm glad to hear they're so flexible. They sound great, except for the price. The least expensive I've seen them is $40-41 doing a Froogle search, and I saw they also come in red.
