ISO Black Turtleneck and white dress

We have a gift certificate for a VERY expensive portrait studio near here that expires this month. I haven't used it yet becuase many of the pics I've seen from there aren't my style -- they tend to do a lot of gimmicky shots with old-timey themes. The few that I like are B&W where they dress the whole family in black turtlenecks, and another style with just the child in airy white with a background that looks like white sheer curtains in a window.

Any ideas where I can get DD a black turtlenecK? I've checked LLBean, LandsEnd, Gap, Gymboree and haven't seen anything in 2T or even 3T. I don'twant to spend an arm and a leg since I doubt she'll get much wear out of it...

Also, they do nice kid protraits in all airy white. Any ideas whrere to get a nice, non-frilly, white dress yet? I know if I waited a few months I'd be set, but the cert. expires before then!

I was looking for a black turtleneck for DS a couple of months ago and had had a hard time finding one. I ended up finding a 3T at Sears for about $5!! You might check there - it was in the boys section! I can look here if I'm at the mall this weekend.

I just saw black turtlenecks at Toys R Us and black turtleneck sweaters at Children's Place.

You may want to try ebay for a white dress.

I bought my DS a black turtleneck from Children's Place in Nov or Dec. It was in the little boys section, but not that it matters.

Maybe also try Babystyle?

Peggy, does the studio have turtlenecks and dresses there? Many photographers have a bunch on hand, especially if that's their big thing. Just a thought!

Strasburg Children has beautiful white dresses. http://www.strasburgchildren.com/cosldr.html There is an "outlet" at Discover Mills, but you can look online at the catalog and call to see if they have anything so you don't waste your time. LMK if you come out this way!

I got black turtlenecks last year from Hanna Andersson and Lands End. Did you try those. Also Zutano makes a plain black dress and might also have a plain white one has well. Check comfykids.com.

We just got a turtleneck from CP in January and there were still black ones available then. They snap in the crotch, FWIW.
