I'm diving into the world of Hanna and I need sizing help. I want to order my DD the Ribbon Shop Dress Set. I'm debating between a 60 or a 70. I would like her to wear it from May through the summer (early September?). Currently she is 3.5 months old. At her 2 month appt she was 11lbs 15 oz and 23.5 inches long (75% and 93% percentiles respectively). I think she is around 13lbs now, her weight gain has seemed to slow down, but she is so long I'm not sure what size. I have her 4m appt on 3/2, maybe I should wait until after that to order and see her height and weight. What are your thoughts regarding a 60 vs 70.

I've order size 70 for my 4 month old DD who is 26 1/4 inches long (at her last appointment). She's like 105%, so very long for her age. Hanna says 70 is 26-30", so I can't imagine that a 60 would fit your DD until May even.

Can I jump in? I need Hanna sizing help too! I just placed my first order last night. Yippie! I am now worried I got the wrong size. My ds is 14 mos old. Weighs 30 lbs and is about 31 inches long. He wears 18-24 in Gymboree but the pants are usually a little long. He has definatly outgrown 12-18 mo stuff. He is particularly long in the stride and chunky. I ordered size 90 wiggle pants and ringer tees. I want him to be able to wear this on our vacation next month and also thru the spring/summer. Do you think I should have gotten the 80's??

Thanks

Well, I have a 14 month old in size 70. She is 20 pounds and 30 inches tall. I will order 70's for the summer and move on to 80's for the fall.

My 4 year has been wearing 90s for over one year. She is 38 inches tall and 30 pounds. Hopefully, we can move to size 100 in the fall so I can use some of the things I bought on sale! She is very thin, however.

My DD is 13 months old, 28lbs and 33" and is still wearing 80s with some growing room. I ordered a 90 outfit just to see the size difference and it is definitely way too big for her (in length mostly) at this point. I think we are going to stick with 80s for the summer and move on to 90s this fall.

I'm sorry to tell you this, but I think you should have gotten the 80s. IME, they are the longest lasting size. Nate is 24-months, 35" and is just outgrowing the Hanna 80s in pants and shorts. He's 50-75th percentile in height and 50th in weight and has consistently been this way since about 4 months.

He wore 70s from about 7 months to about 14 months, 80s from about 9 months until 22-24 months (22 months for the tops & one-pieces), and is just reaching 90s in bottoms. He's worn 90s in one-pieces since about 22 months.

I would probably get the 70 also, especially if she's been on the longer end of things for awhile. I bought a dress for #2 to wear for the holidays next year and the Hanna salesgal suggested a 70 for a 6-month-old rather than the 60 that I had in my hands.

Sorry but I think the 90s will be huge! My Levi is 21 months (almost 22) and wears 18-24 in Gymboree. He is 33.5 inches and 27-28 lbs. He wears the 80s and they fit fine. The 90s are huge for him-they are super long and still slightly big in the waist. I think for the summer one piece sets and short sleeve tees in a 90 will be okay but for long sleeves and pants I would still say an 80.

My 4 year old is 38 inches and 30 lbs and just outgrew her 90s-for pants b/c she has long legs in comparison to her body.

If you want I can take some pics of Levi in 80 vs some 90s. We have some pants in both sizes.

My dd's are the exact age as your dd, they weighed eleven pounds at their two month appt., so a little smaller than your dd. I bought 60 size zippers and they fit just fine, I thought htey would be big at this point but not really. So I would def. get the 70.

Sorry NAK!

Thanks everyone for your replies. I think I will place an exchange order. I am thinking about getting a romper too. My ds is long in the stride (atleast 19 inches). You think I should go with a 90
in that??

SAHMommie:

You can get away with ordering bigger one pieces like a romper or zipper. Just fold up the cuffs.
