Thought I'd post these in case anyone wanted to see how the new line looks on RL girl. Kyleigh wasn't in the mood to model, so I just snapped a few quick pictures before she had a major meltdown. I hesitated to post these pictures because I don't think they show how beautiful these dresses are.

I originally planned on getting the blue smocked dress, but my mom talked me into getting the blue striped one also. I didn't like it online, it looked a little better on the hanger, but love it once I put it on. Kyleigh loved it too. She kept twirling around and dancing. (It's funny how they know girly girl dresses at such a young age.) I was planning on having her wear a sweater with it, since it will be too cold for a sleeveless dress for Easter, but the sweater just took away from the dress. So I decided to keep this for Kyleigh's birthday dress. I just couldn't return it.

This is what she will wear for Easter. I wasn't too sure about the hat, but once I put it on it seemed to complete the "Easter look".

What beautiful dresses. Your mom has great taste. That second picture with the hat defintely looks Easterish to me. For someone on the verge of a meltdown, Kyleigh sure has a great smile.

Gorgeous! Kyleigh looks ready for the Easter parade, not a meltdown.

She looks so pretty in both dresses! Blue is just a gorgeous color on her. I can see why you couldn't return the striped dress -- it is a *perfect* birthday dress! Looks like Kyleigh agrees :)

Lisa,
Kyleigh is gorgeous in both dresses! I think the striped is the perfect b-day dress and I love the Easter dress too. What a big girl she's getting to be!

Kyleigh is gorgeous in both of those dresses. The smocked one definitely has an Easter feel and the striped one is a perfect birthday dress. Gotta love your mom! :)

They are both beautiful and so is your little sweetie!

The second one is perfect for Easter, especially with the hat.

The blues look absolutely beautiful with Kyleigh's colouring. The dresses are perfect on her, classic and girly. :)

Lisa,

Kyleigh looks so sweet in her new dresses. I can't believe how big she is getting. She looks so grown up since the last time we saw a picture of her.

Kyleigh looks just lovely in both of those dresses, Lisa! I didn't really like the first one online, but Kyleigh just "makes" the dress. And I *love* the second one!! The hat is a great finishing touch.

She is sooooo cute in her "fancies" as Julia says.

I am eyeing the blue dress for Julia's Easter dress too. It's so pretty on blue eyed blondes. It looks like it runs really big - what do you think?

Both dresses are a 12-18 month, which is the size Kyleigh is wearing now. I previously bought the DD jumper in 18-24 months so I compared both dresses to this jumper at the store. The 12-18 month dresses were comparable in size (both length and width) to the 18-24 month jumper. The smocked dress does seem to run long, but I like dresse (esp. dressy dresses) to be longer. Kyleigh is petite - 31" and 21 1/2lbs - so it's always hard for me to tell if it's the dress running big or if it's just her.

HTH

Very cute! I also bought DD's Easter dress from J&J (the yellow "In Bloom plus the Cardigan) and I see that you also live in VA. Help! Easter will prob. still be chilly, right? What are you going to do as far as shoes/socks/tights/sandals vs. closed toe, etc., etc.???

You must post pictures of the In Bloom dress. My mom really loved that dress and she almost convinced me to buy it. I'm glad I didn't or I probably would have ended up with 3 dresses. :)

As for Easter, I guess it all depends on how warm it is. Sometimes the end of March can be a bit warmer, sometimes very cold. I am probably going to buy closed shoes. If it's chilly, I'll put tights on her, if not I have white ruffled socks. HTH!

Thanks! I'll post pics of her in the In Bloom stuff tomorrow. I also bought the clogs that go with the line but they are so impractical given that DD is trying to learn to walk. Took those back and bought white patent Mary Janes (I also have black but they are too harsh) and pointelle tights. I agree - if the weather is warm, I'll put little socks on her.
