Off Topic - How come my attachments did not open automatically?

I was wondering why in my prior post my attachments were not already opened? Please tell me what I did wrong.

When you go to upload there is a place that says, "Check this box if you wish to embed attachment URL in the message text box."
-Check that box. ;)
