Okay, I've tested out how to join and know what's been tripping people up. If you email your request, then you need to click on the link in their confirmation email. This will bring you to the request to join page. This is where it will ask you for comments to the owner. All you need to leave for comments is BBB USER = X
If you don't click on that link and simply reply to the email, then all I get is a request that says " So and so email address wants to join your group". Then, I have to email that address and ask for your user name.
If you want to skip the emails, then go to this link:
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/SKRcoop/
That brings you to our group's front page. Then click on Join this group! It will ask you to log into your yahoo id if you aren't logged in already. If you do not have a yahoo id, you will have to create one. Then, it will bring you to the request to join page. That's where you will put your BBB USER ID in the comments to owner.
I hope this clears everything up and it is easier for you to join.
