I have a question about naartjie sizing for you ladies. I just bought a naartjie mock turtleck on ebay for my 10mo dd in size 18-24mo. I am suprised that this shirt fits now as I bought it for her to wear in the fall/winter. Did it shrink that much? I am ready to take the plunge and actually order some naarjtie from the store on Monday and was wondering what size should I get for spring/summer? My dd is 29 1/2 inches tall and about 19 lbs. I thought the pants run big but everything else is pretty true to size. Any thoughts?
TIA!

Naartjie does not shrink. Because of the way they dye it it is already shrunk as much as it is going to.

It really depends on the line, sometimes the shirts run small, sometimes they run big. The only way I know what to order is to read the various Naartjie groups to see what people are saying about which pieces run small or big. Sometimes the sales associates in the stores know, sometimes they are clueless.

Generally speaking, I have found that stretchy tops run small and non-stretchy tops run true to size. (although there is an exception in the current line where a poplin blouse is running small)

Pants are random. Some run big and some are true to size. I have pants in sizes 12-18m, 18-24m and 2T for Logan and they all fit and are all the same size.

Buying Naartjie is a lot of work, but I think it is worth it.

Thanks for the response Karen! One of the reasons that I posted was b/c I couldn't believe that the top had shrunk as the color is very vibrant! If "used" naartjie looks so good, I can only imagine it new! I live in Atlanta and don't see much of it here - another reason why I like it! I guess I will have fun figuring it all out.
