Hey shopping girlies, I've been lurking and admiring all of the shopping that you've been doing over the last few weeks. I've been trying to avoid this place and GR (the J&J board) as much as I can because I am trying to save more family $$ for travel while we are here in Europe. But on top of that, DH lost our cell phone ($$$$), our desktop computer crashed ($$$$), and a variety of other things. Oh, and Dh was away and then home again, but then was supposed to leave for Africa for 3 months this week, but instead, he left for Bosnia for a total of 3 months. Our life is really interesting these days. And on top of ALL of that, Quinn and I were pretty sick for a while.

But I'm Baaaaack!! And just in time to make some final decisions about Easter-wear. :)

I am really liking the Gap for the boys this Spring and I put together two complimentary outfits for Quinn and Huey and was wondering what you ladies thought about them. I really like the idea of the pin-striped cargo pants because they are a little dress (with the pinstriping), but a little casual (with the cargo pockets), so we'll get alot of use out of them. My boys can never have enough khaki cargo's.

For Quinn:

For Huey (newboy hat is from J&J):

What do you ladies think of those outfits? I tend to get so turned off with all of the orange outfits that Gymbo comes out with, but for some reason, I am really liking the orange in the mix for Easter at Gap this year. Would you get Huey the newsboy hat or would you get him the same straw hat that I picked out for Quinn. I kind of wanted them to each have their own look and I thought that the straw hat would clash (the plaid band) with the stripes that I picked out for Huey.

As for Andie's Easter dress, I'm still can't decide at all. I don't care if she coordinates or matches with the boys because it's not like I EVER get them all together in a nice picture anyway. If I do, I'll be so happy that I actually get a nice picture of them together that I won't care if they clash or not. LOL

Hi Kerry,

Glad you are hanging in there. It sounds like life is pretty hectic right now.

I like the shirts + pants but I'm not loving those vests. Your boys are adorable + I'm sure they'll look cute but the colors seem off to me. I like that the outfits are similar without being the same - hats included. =)

Welcome back, sister!! I think both outfits are very cute! The orange isn't "springy" enough for Easter here but since you're in such a cold climate, I think it will work well. Both the hats are cute. My favorite piece is that striped shirt! Gorgeous! I may have to venture over to the Gap site to check them all out!

That's how I felt about the orange, Denise. We have this HUGE pile of snow out front and we're expecting more snow all weekend. Plus, we spent last Easter in the Alps with snow falling all around us. Those seersucker Hanna outfits I had ordered for Easter last year just didn't cut it in the Alpine region. LOL Sweater vests or sweaters definitely make alot of sense for us here, especially with Easter being early.

That is exactly what I thought - the orange was too bold. And I just love the striped shirt. I guess when it comes to boys clothing, you can't quibble over the shade of orange. You just have to be happy you find anything you like!

I just LOVE both outfits - orange and all! I don't have a problem with the orange and am not a fan of boys in pastels, so I think it's perfect for Easter. I would also stick with the hat selection on both.

Sorry to hear you're having so many problems, when it rains it pours. :(
