I would check Nordstrom or Stride Rite if you have one of these near you.

Norsdtroms half an hour away...SO is Stride Rite I think :)

Before DS started walking I found him some nice white leather lace-up shoes at Sears - preboxed in the infant section, up to size 4 or so I think. Under $10 and fine for church and special occasions. Now that he's on the move his white shoes are Stride-Rite. Not as comfy as his Robeez but again fine when he needs them. Good luck!
