So I've found some cute tops for DD but they are mostly patterned and I want some plain leggings to match them with. I've tried Gap but they're too heavy like sweatshirt material, I want light knit, T-shirt weight for the summer. I'm looking for navy, dark pink or any solid color really, stuff thats good for hanging out in the mulch playground at daycare. I can't think these would be so hard to find.

TIA

Lucy (DD 3/03)

Have you tried Target? I've seen some nice, solid color, lightweight leggings there before.

Lands End has a few knit capris that are loose and comfy in solid colors. They're getting iffy on sizes and availability though.

I just bought my DD some capri length, more like t shirt material that are solid summery colors from TCP they do have a bit of lycra in them but it keeps them from bagging at the knee. They were 2 for $15.00. They had hot pink, yellow, blue and purple.

Hi Lucy~

Do you have a Macy's or Burdine's near you? They carry a line called Green Dog, which is their version of cheap mix and match. They have some cute capris (which I think run a little small) for $7 a piece. I bought my little one some in a 2T and they are mid calf length after washing. They are very cute with a simple little ruffle around the bottom. I need to go back and buy a couple more pair. I like to put capris under dresses too, since my little one (who is 15 months) is very active and seems to fall and scrape her knees if she doesn't have them covered. BTW, she is wearing a 12-18 months in most pants... so the green dog is obviously a little on the small side. She is 31" tall and 24lbs (just pefectly chubby) :D

Thanks everyone for your help-this is turning into a struggle. We have no Target-(its opening in a few months-yeah!) or Macys. The Landsend ones look perfect but they're back oredered til June. I'm wondering about the plain TCP ones- does anyone know what Stretch Poplin is I'm having a hard time imagining the fabric and wondering how stretchy it is.

TIA
