Did someone mention that you can wash and reuse disposable swim diapers. I thought I read that a little bit ago. How do you do it?
It would be good info to know...those things are not cheap.
Thanks

Me -- I just wash them on delicate with DD's bathing suit and then dry on low or let them air dry. We can usually get several uses out of them.

You could always get a re-usable cloth swim diaper - Target sells them :)

I hated the disposable swim dipes. Hard to get on and off, didn't fit well.

I would get a cloth swim diaper. Swim diapers are meant only to catch poop. Depending on how old your babe is these are cute, and have a snaps on the side to get them off easily when wet (my biggest complaint about the swim dipe:

We will use these this summer... one dipe for the entire summer! I'm not sure how well they would catch explosive BF poop though. There are plenty of others out there!

I have never washed them, but I can tell you that my dd leaked out of them continually last weekend. I was really disappointed in the quality and for the money, I'd find something else to use (including a regular diaper if the baby will not go into the water).

See my previous post--- they really aren't intended to be used except in the water since they don't really have any absorbancy!

We always changed DS into his swim dipe right before going in, and changed back out when we got out of the pool.

We used the Target kind last spring and summer. DD took a swim "class" at the YMCA and cloth swim dipes were required. I think the brand is iPlay and they're $5.99 or so. I just washed it with all of our swimsuits. If you swim a lot or stay out for longer periods of time and your kid likes to poop, I'd grab two. But two is about the same price as one package of the disposables.
