More Summer Naartjie + J&J Tailor Made

Our Naartjie is here! Yay! I love it all, though I will be returning a few things and making a small re-order :)

For reference, Ava just had her 15-month appt. this week and she is 30.5" and 20 lbs.

First is the Poplin Embroidered Dress & Fancy Pants in New Pink. Both are 6-12 and fit perfectly with enough room to last the summer. I love this set!

Next is the S/S Lolli-Sleeve Tee and Knit Funny Flower/Lolli Capris in White. Top is 18-24 and capris are 6-12. I really like the colors, but not the top. I am going to return this and get the all-over lolli print tee instead. The tunic shape just doesn't work for Ava.

Last is the Poplin Embroidered Cami in Spearmint (18-24) and knit essentials shorts in white (size 3). I love the top, and the shorts fit perfectly in the waist, but the proportions are a little off with the size 3. I think I am going to return them and either get a 6-12 pair or maybe the striped capris instead.

On to J&J... this is the Tailor Made set Marie's Ella Paige was modeling. I love it! The top is 18-24, shorts are 6-12, and both fit well. I'd also like the green floral tee but it was sold out in Ava's size online, so I am going to look for it at the store this weekend to wear with khakis.

I agree with you on the tunic in outfit #2.. the tee will look nicer i think!
I can't believe how well the size 3 shorts are fitting in #3!! Wow! I really like the poplin cami.. the striped pants might be a good match too..but shorts might be cooler in the summer.

Always a pleasure to see Miss Ava in her new clothes. She is such a cutie! My favorite outfit on her is the poplin embroidered set. It just looks like a perfect summer outfit.

If you like the cami, you should try the striped capri pants. That's my favorite outfit for Lena from that line. We have them in zest. I sized down one size smaller on the pants (12-18 pants; 18-24 top). Lena is 31 inches tall, 24 pounds.

Now I just have to figure out my Naartjie reorder! Have you looked at the layette stuff at all? I am thinking of getting the cami in new orange and pairing it with the layette indian stripe bloomers -- they are TDF! The 6-12 should be perfect for Ava and Leela.

Oh my goodness! She is so cute! I know that Ava's been walking for a while but it still is wierd to see her walking around. :D

I really love the things you got! The new pink poplin set is adorable! I think I may order it, too, but I can't make up my mind which color to get. We have that dress from the Gap which is knit but it's that same pink color and has embroidery on it. I'm pretty sure I don't want white. We already have a dress in spearmint. I guess that leaves orange or zest. :)

I like the white knit outfit on her. I think it might look better with a smaller tunic (12-18?). Of course, it will also look cute with the all-over print top.

And I really love the spearmint poplin with the white shorts! Very cute! The shorts do look too big to me. Why didn't you get the baby girl sizes in them? Were they out already? I do think the baby Indian Stripe bloomers would look terrific, too. Post a pic when they arrive!

And the J&J outfit is just too cute! It looks so perfect on Ava. Just adorable and girly. :)

Ava is such a doll! I am really loving the poplin pieces from this line and they look great on Ava. I agree regarding the shorts - Ava is such a "skinny minnie" that I would stick with the 6-12 months size, knowing how big Naartjie bottoms run. Those J&J shorts are adorable too - almost a cross between shorts and bloomers (great for keeping diapers properly covered).

Hi Denise,
I just saw AG's new Naartjie -- I've got to add some of that to my next order. Especially the stripe hat!

I wanted to try the size 3 shorts just because I've heard many people say they fit skinny girls better than the baby sizes. The waist in these is perfect, but the length is weird. Oh well :)

I love AG's cami/stripe pants set that I am going to break my rule and order a set for next year too! So adorable!

Robyn, there is an adorable pic of a little girl on GR wearing the bloomers and they are stunning! I am definitely getting some layette for the new little peanut!

Oh, I just love Ava's pictures - she is always so animated. Her haircut is too cute.

I just love all the poplin and lawn pieces from this line. The new pink looks so pretty on her and I just think the outfit is TDF on the little ones. The spearmint cami is very pretty too. If you get a chance, could you measure the length and waist of the size 3 shorts? I know a lot of people say that the size 3 fit better, so maybe they'd work for us. I ordered all 12-18 bottoms and they are literally falling off Kyleigh's waist. I might just have to go a get a 6-12.

I really like that TM outfit, the shirt looks really cute w/the shorts. I bought the floral tee to pair with the shorts, now I just might have to grab this top too for something else.

I love the J&J outfit---so sweet. Ava is really starting to look like a toddler instead of a baby! I know it's a cliche, but time really does fly doesn't it?

As always - everything looks great on Ava. She must have one awesome wardrobe! We have the J&J top and the green floral one too with the khaki capris. But seeing those shorts on Ava, Amy Grace and Ella Paige is making me feel like I need them - plus we have NO shorts yet. Thanks for sharing

P.S. Get the Naartjie stripe capris to go with the poplin cami - I love them (just giving you more fuel to buy :)
