I was at a Mothers of Twins Sale today and saw some cute Hanna zippers from a distance. I approached and noticed up close they were covered in pilling. Can this be avoided by a certain laundering technique? Pilling is one of my pet peeves.
I also noticed on Ebay that many of the listings talk about pilling too.
Thanks,
Meredith

Washing inside out definitely helps reduce pilling, but some hanna zippers just do pill a lot. I haven't noticed much, if any, pilling on other hanna items, and some of our zippers (especially the organic cotton ones) don't have much either.
I hate pilling, too!

I think most of the pilling is due to not washing inside out. If I forget to turn a zipper before washing, I notice a difference. Maybe the fabric is more likely to pill because it is so soft?
I hate pilling too - especially on flannel and fleece!
