...... for Lane. It's a July wedding in Iowa, so it's likely to be hot. I don't want anything too fussy or little-mannish. I really don't have an idea of what I want, but will know when I see it. He will be wearing 24M/T this summer if it makes a difference.

Ideas?

I'm not sure what price range you are looking at but maybe this will at least give you an idea of what you like or don't like.
I tried to upload the pics but that isn't working now so here are the links to the things I think are cute on www.bestdressedchild.com:

Let me know if you like or dislike these and I will look for some more. I don't really have an excuse to shop for boy's clothes, so this has been fun. :)

HTH somewhat,

Do you like shortalls? The ones with appliques are not as fussy as the smocked ones.

Mary,

I have something that might work for Lane. Andrew wore it twice once for 2 year old pictures and once to my bil's wedding. He wore it with white socks and saddle shoes. It is little blue shorts with buttons and a shirt that has some tiny embrodery. Also if you did not to buy something we have smocked shortalls in every color and size. You guys are welcome to come and see what we have.

This is the only picture I could find online.

Mary-

Is it a daytime wedding? Last year we had pics of DS taken in short-jons by Florence Eiseman. They were a light blue gingham with a white collared shirt - so cute! I think something like that would be perfect for a summer wedding during the day. If it is a night wedding, you may want to go a little dressier or with pants.

Macy's is having a really good sale right now. I got DS a light blue and white striped suit (that looks totally little boy, not little man) on sale for $13 today. I was originally $36. When he tried it on, he looked in the mirror and said, "Handsome." He's wearing it to a wedding in Vegas next weekend.
The Macy's by my house had a bunch of different stuff on sale--jon jons, overalls, pants/shirts, shorts sets.

We may be starting potty-training soon, so I'm think 2 pieces would be best. I wondered about some seersucker pants???

ETA - You're cracking me up, Angela. Thanks for helping me look!!

Andrea -
Two piece would be good (see my post above). That one is very cute!!! I've been wanting to see about having a get-together, so this would be a good excuse!! Let's discuss on our Chicago group. :)

I actually don't know if it's a daytime or evening wedding. I would suspect a mid-to-late afternoon ceremony, but I don't think it will really matter. It's in Iowa and weddings there tend to be much more casual than weddings here. That was one of my biggest culture shocks when I started living in this area!

I think they're adorable, but they probably won't work for us. :(

No Macy's near me. :( I just checked their website and didn't see any dressy stuff. Thanks for the suggestion, though!

They may be all out, but I got Sammy a seersucker suit from the gap sale rack that's a more casual one, an unlined blazer and long seersucker cargo shorts; I put it over a tee or polo rather than a button-down because it's cargo shorts; he was the cutest boy at Passover if I do say so myself.:-) I don't see it on the website but you might check a store if you're near one, I think I saw the jacket here on the sale rack still last week.

This outfit is from LE:

And I found these pants on bestdressedchild:

They are very similar to the LE ones, but it looks like they don't have the blue stipes.

More what you are looking for?
