I was going to buy DD some of the cropped cargo sweats- theyre the first darker colors I've seen and theyre on sale.

She is about 29-30 lb
32-33 inches but age appropriate trousers always seem very long on her, Do you think I need an 80 or a 9,0 I'd prefer they look 'cropped' as otherwise they may be a little hot for summer.

Does anyone know if they are very heavy fabric

DS is about your daughters size and he is in 90s right now. I would go with the 90s, even though you want the cropped look. If you buy 80s, you run the risk of the pants not being able to cover her behind. KWIM? DS occasionally wears his 80 long johns, but they don't give him adequate butt coverage sometimes :)
