Pedoodles - question about sizing

Hi:
My DD is 18 months, currently wearing soft star shoes in size 6 (still little more room to grow), and preschoolians in size 21 (a little less room to grow). I would like to order her a pair of pedoodles (flower power) for fall/winter, but the sizing confuses me. Shoud I get XL (5.5 - 7) or XXL (7 - 8.5)? I remember reading here that they run big.

My dd is 15 1/2 months old and wears the same size as your dd in Preschoolians. I ordered the Pedoodles Flower Power in the xl size and they are too big for her to wear right now.

They do run big and a bit wide as well. But they are so darn cute!
