I'm pretty sure they carry wides and x-wides. I was in our outlet a few weeks ago and they had all sizes/widths and even some fall shoes in. You might still make a phone call to make sure that your outlet has what you're looking for.

In my experience, the choices are very mixed and few and far between. We also need XW shoes for DS and I've never been able to find more than a couple pairs, not necessarily in the size we need, in a shoe I like. I would only take a day trip if there is other stuff to do on the daytrip and if you call to see what they have in stock first. I believe the shoes are past seasons, but you still might find the correct season, even though not current, KWIM?

I think we were just lucky - but we found a pair of XWide summer shoes for Abby at the Michigan City, IN outlet in May. Part of it may be that she has small feet - so she got size 3.5 in a walker, not a pre-walker. I agree with the PP's - I'd call first.
