Ordering shoes...need a bit of help!

I had Lauren measured at Stride Rite yesterday and she measures a 5.5, so I bought her size 6 shoes which seem plenty big (a good thumb width in the toe). I would like to order her a couple of pairs of shoes from kidsurplus that would work now. Should I order size 6 or can I order a 6.5 without her tripping? Thanks!

Hi Lana (whoops, just called you Lauren--boy am I tired). Our little ones wear the same size shoes. : ) I had Joshua measured at Nordstrom, and we bought him a pair of Stride Rite shoes in 6 W. Then, about 4 weeks later, I was in need of dress shoes, and bought him a pair on line in a 6.5 W. They are a little long, but he does okay in them. They are lace-ups, so I just tied them extra tight. I couldn't see buying a second pair in the same size, given how fast kiddos this age grow.

Good luck. I hope it works. If not, save the shoes for a month and then they will be fine. : )
