I have several sunhats already for DD but would like one more, pref. white eyelet. I have heard great things about FlapHappy hats here in the past, but nothing recently. What are your favorite sunhats? Tie or Velcro is necessary for us. Thanks!

We love our HA sun hats. That is all that DD wears. She can get it off, but it takes her a little longer since they tie. She is 10 months with an average head and the XS fits perfectly. The brim doesn't shade her entire face, but it keeps the sun out of her eyes wondefully. I really like them because they are the only hat that I have found that doesn't slide forward on her head so that she can't see!

Sorry to hijack this thread but I'm looking for a hat for a boy! Would this hat work for a boy: http://www.hannaandersson.com/style.asp?from=SC%7C4%7C1%7C156%7C47%7C8%7C%7C I mean, it looks like it's on a boy!!

My son wears that exact hat, and he's two. So I think they are very gender neutral.

Yes, totally. Those hats are gender neutral. DS wore one when he was a year and a half old. He switched to the big boys style (no chin strap) when he was 2 and half - he has a big head.

In general I think Hanna is way over-rated, but the hats are really, really good. The only hat I found that is comparable in comfort is one I found at Janie & Jack. The sun hats are only item I bought at Hanna (at full price at that) without any regrets whatsoever.

FWIW, Target has some hats that are SPF 50 equivalent. I"ve not tried the flaphappy ones so I can't compare them but these are pretty nice,. THey have 2 styles, a "ballcap" with back flap and a sunhat with ties and a wide brim, which is what we have. Works great! They are on an endcap in the baby section with the reusable swim dipes and the price is $5.99. They had a pink eyelet, not sure about white though...

What's your experience on the sizing on these? Was their chart accurate? My DS's head measured 20 inches--I'm looking at one in size S on eBay and wondering if it would fit him, even though the chart says up to 19.5 inches for that size.
