Need help w/ Babystyle costume sizing!

I really like the octopus and the chick costume at Babystyle. But my DD is 22 pounds and 32 inches long. Their website says 12-18 fits 22-27 pounds and 29-31 inches. The 18-24 fits 27 to 30 pounds and 31-33 inches long. So right now she's in the 18-24 in height and in the 12-18 for weight. She's a slow gainer so I know she won't gain much weight by October. For those that have bought babystyle costumes, which size would you order? My gut says to go with the 18-24, but I dont want it to be *too* big. I know I could always return it if I do it early enough, but I want to try to get it right the first time.:-)

I would be inclined to go more by the height measurement. I know last year I ordered the 3T for my then 3 yo and it was a little small in the rise.

Thanks Cara. I was thinking the same thing. I just hope the costume won't be so bulky on her. I appreciate the advice!

I bought my son the Kangaroo costume. He usually runs 12-18 mos in everything but I had to buy him the 18-24 mos costume. I think they may run a little small.

I would definitely get 18-24m. I tried the shark on my little guy yesterday & the 12-18m was too small; I couldn't even snap it. He's 30" & 24lbs. so very similar to your dd.
