I have a question for moms of 12-18 month old girls - what is your daughter's shoe size?

I am very tempted to buy DD (almost 3 months) a pair of Lands End NQP water shoes for next summer, as they are currently $6.99 (down from $19.00). However, I would have to guess what her shoe size will be in 9 months and I could be way off. I was just wondering if I should just go ahead and get her a pair now or wait until next spring.

My DD is just over 12 months, and she wears about a 2.5 but seems to have small feet (can still comfortably wear her 6-12 mo Robeez). I've heard from other mothers of DDs around this age that their DDs are wearing 4 or even 5! So I would say don't go smaller than 3 but probably use 5 as the higher end size.

Good luck!

My daughter just turned 18 months and she's still wearing 5.5-6, depending on the shoe. Like the PP, she's tiny for her size and has very narrow feet.

DD is 16 months and wears size 5 with room. Her feet are a bit on the wide side but 5's still have room to grow.

I have two friends whose dd's are within one month of mine. One wears size 2 and the other wears 4's. I'd probably stick with 3's if your DD is on the petite side, otherwise 4's. (My DD happens to have bigger feet and is pretty tall.)

At 12 months DD wore size 5 and at 18 months she started wearing size 7. Feet size can be very, very tricky to predict.

At 16 months, DD's a 4 with some room. Its so hard to guestimate shoe sizes. I tried last year and was way off .:-(. On the other hand, if it is an awesome deal and you guess wrong, you could always sell them later and recoup your money.

My DD is 16 months and wears a four with some room to grow. She was in a two until last month and then skipped size 3 altogether! I have never had much luck buying shoes ahead...but that doesn't seem to stop me from trying!!

My DD is 10 months old now and is wearing a size 3. At her 9 month check up she weighted 21 pounds and was 27 inches tall. I think it would be really hard to guesstimate at shoes size but if the price is really good then I would say buy them. You could always but them on swap or sell them on e-bay if they didn't fit her.

Rose is almost 16 months and wears a size 6.5. Her first pair of shoes, at 12 months, were a 4.5, although she outgrew them in about 6 weeks. IME with water shoes, they are really hard to put on. We had a pair of Osh Kosh ones on loan from a friend in size 6 and she cried whenever I put them on. She does better barefoot in water.

Thanks so much for your help!! It sounds like I should get DD a size 4. I will probably end up getting it if I put in a Lands End order for DS' stuff :)
