I've also been looking for North Face or Patagonia... Columbia ones seem too grown up (relatively speaking, for my 3-year-old). Price isn't as much of a concern since I know DS1 will probably get 2 seasons out of it, as will DS2. Thanks for any ideas!

We had Lands End last year and Columbia for this year. I have a 2 1/2 year old and I really like the Columbia series. I bought a Tectonite jacket and snowpants off ebay and they are really warm without being too bulky.

We've had LE and HA, but have also been happy with Gap warmest coats. Last year, in a budget conscious moment, I bought DS an Old Navy one. It was okay, but don't think I would buy one again. He didn't complain about it, and it held up fine, I just was always a little concerned it was warm enough.

Rugged bear has some nice, very warm coats. Seem to be popular in the Northeast and Midwest...
