A while ago I posted asking if DD1 could still wear their clothes and I got mixed responses. The other day I found a shop that carries a small selection (lots of pants and tops but only 1 style dress) so I thought I'd pick up the dress and see how it fits. It's the 18-24 dress & leggings and the sleeves go down to the tip of her thumb so I think that even with washing, she should be able to wear it most of the winter, if not all.

BTW, the cotton is so soft and I'm in love. I'm debating what to do with the dress that I picked up since it's not my favorite print and the store only allows store credit (really lousy return policy). But, I'm now going to get a few dresses/legging for DDs.

So, here's my choices so far:
Outfit 1:
http://www.comfykid.com/cgi-bin/ck-shop.cgi?func=show_style&brands_id=8&brand_name=Zutano&has_sizing_chart=1&styles_id=1092
With:
http://www.comfykid.com/cgi-bin/ck-shop.cgi?func=show_style&brands_id=8&brand_name=Zutano&has_sizing_chart=1&styles_id=108
(Comfy kid was out of this size but I was able to find it elsewhere)

Outfit 2:
http://www.comfykid.com/cgi-bin/ck-shop.cgi?func=show_style&brands_id=8&brand_name=Zutano&has_sizing_chart=1&styles_id=2106
With:
http://www.comfykid.com/cgi-bin/ck-shop.cgi?func=show_style&brands_id=8&brand_name=Zutano&has_sizing_chart=1&styles_id=2106

Those two are must haves.

I'm playing with a few other ideas. What do you think of this:
Outfit 3:
http://www.comfykid.com/cgi-bin/ck-shop.cgi?func=show_style&brands_id=8&brand_name=Zutano&has_sizing_chart=1&styles_id=2958
With:
http://www.comfykid.com/cgi-bin/ck-shop.cgi?func=show_style&style_code=B153G
Is that too much?

And this is the outfit that I picked up at the store:
http://www.comfykid.com/cgi-bin/ck-shop.cgi?func=show_style&brands_id=8&brand_name=Zutano&has_sizing_chart=1&styles_id=3142
With the fuschia leggings

Does anyone recommend any MUST HAVE dress & leggings combinations?

Thanks for listening.

I'm envious - I wish I could get Zutano dress/leggings sets in my older DD's size (3T)! I like your selections, and personally I think the stripe/dot combo is adorable. So fun! Enjoy!

I love Zutano too! I like all of the outfits you've chosen. I love the panda print - so cute! The stripes & dots go well, too! I think the one you bought in the store is a brand new print. Is it very vibrant in person?

My very favorite outfit of my DD is the Florytale dress with aqua leggings. http://www.comfykid.com/cgi-bin/ck-shop.cgi?func=show_style&brands_id=8&brand_name=Zutano&has_sizing_chart=1&styles_id=2361

The print is very similiar to Ladyflower. Those two patterns would go cute with another to mix and match the dressing and leggings. She had it in a 0-6month size and I bought it again for fall in a 12-18month size. Do you buy the matching hats as well? I was thinking about getting a hat to go with it, but DD barely tolerates her sunhats.

I also love Zoo Crew - we had that in shortsleeves this summer; might go for it again in long sleeves! I think the new Lucky Me print is cute too. http://www.zutano.com/pages/basics/current-prints.php

I think the Florytale and the Ladyflower are the same print, just different colors, right?. I love brown so I went with the Ladyflower one. What do you think of the Ladyflower dress with the aqua leggings - do you think it goes better than the orange leggings? I was torn between the aqua and the orange ones but finally decided on the orange ones.

Yea, the Lucky Me print is really cute. If I wasn't already getting the panda print, I might have done that (they're both orange so I'd like to get a variety of colors).

The new print is fairly vibrant (not as bright as some other prints though). I have it paired with the fuschia leggins so it brings out the brightness a bit more.

Zoo crew is really cute - what leggings did you pair it with?

Gosh, if I was ONLY getting Zutano for DDs' wardrobes this year, I could get alot more - the monkey print is adorable as well as alot of their stripes, the Fleurette print, etc., etc.

I'm not going to do the hats. I don't think they'd get as much use and so can't justify it - but they are really cute!

O.K., thanks for the "encouragement" - I guess I'll "have" to get the stripe/dot set too!

Personally, I don't know why they don't make "Toddler" sizes, even if it was a limited number of prints. I think they'd do really well.

I've been debating on getting zutano for my DD but wasn't sure how soft it was and I still can't decide what size to get for her (shes 23 pounds and around 28 inches or so) I might just cave in and order at least a set then if I fall in love with it (like I think I will) i'll order more.
by the way I love the stripe/ dot set I was actually going to do that with the brown stripes and dot pants. But wasn't sure how it would look.

I can't answer definitely about your DD's size, however, I can tell you that the dresses run very wide (like the HA playdresses) so you should buy it according to length. I had DD2 (who is 9 months) with me when we went to the clothing store and we held up the 12-18 and the 6-12. I didn't try it on her but the 6-12 still had a bit of length while the 12-18 was HUGE (no way she'd wear it this winter). DD is almost 29 inches so about as long as yours so the 6-12 looks like it would work for your DD too. Try a separate post (this post might get "lost" here) - there's alot of Zutano sizing experts here.

Oh, and it looks like another vote for the stripe/dot set! BTW, the brown stripe/dot set is adorable too!

I've found some of my Zutano pieces are nice and soft (leggings, l/s shirt) but one of the s/s shirts and one of the hats (but not the other) feels thinner and stiffer.

Have others found this too? Some pieces feel cozy soft and others don't?

We have the lady flower one, I love it! I think you accidentally posted it twice as I can't see what you paired it with but I think it would go with pink, aqua or the orangey color. I have the orangey color.

I just got two coveralls--one in stripes, and one in the choo choo print, and I noticed that. The stripes feel a lot softer than the choo choo. I figured it was the difference between one having been printed on the fabric (the choo choo).

I think the Ladyflower and the orange leggings are great together! Very nice autumn colors. I didn't get Zutano leggings to match the Zoo Crew short sleeved dress, just the diaper cover. But the other day it was a bit cooler here in Chicago so I paired it with some yellow leggings from Carters and it looked fine. If I do get the Zoo Crew in long sleeve dress, I think I'll pair it with orange leggings. I had one pink hat last winter, but now that her hair is thickening and getting longer I don't want to cover it up - then again, they are so cute. I can't decide!

I love the one you picked up at the store, the fairground stripe (but I do think the gumdrop pants are a bit much, very cute just too much with the stripes) and I think the panda one is adorable. The lady flower is cute but not my favorite one. I do like it though.

I think the solids or woven stripes are soft and the screen-printed designs are not as soft. After washing they seem to soften up, though.

Hmmm. That makes sense about print vs. solids because the s/s shirt is a print (big dots) and the l/s is a solid. All the striped stuff is soft, too.

Thanks. I tink I'll keep that in mind when I make my choices.
