My son only just started walking last winter, so we didn't get him snow pants or boots or anything. This year I'm getting him a snow suit and also snow pants for daycare, and obviously snow boots, but what other shoes does he need? He'll have sneakers, of course, but does he need a pair of waterproof, warm boots for normal wear (not snow boots)? How are Umis? Ecco has some really cool ones on shoebuy, but not in his size. He has Gucios too, but I don’t think they'll be really warm and definitely not waterproof. What does he need?

Last year my son had a pair of snow boots, sneakers, a pair of red SKR, and a pair of Gap suede boots. They were warm, but not waterproof - more just for looks (and because my son was infatuated with wearing boots and I didn't want him wearing his snowboots all over the place). I didn't find a need for waterproof boots other than the snowboots. We'll probably do something similar this year.

Good luck!
