So far what I'm seeing is a bit big.

TIA

I just saw a pair of these in our JoAnn's Etc. yesterday. They weren't in with the regular costumes - for some reason they were on an end-cap between the sewing notions and the home dec. area. The packaging said "just pretend" or "just dress-up" or something along those lines, and they had wings, a tiara, a fairy dress, wands, that sort of thing. If you got the dress and all the accessories it looks like you could dress a little girl up as a bride, fairy, princess, etc.

The wings were certainly small enough for a 1-year-old - I was contemplating buying them for DD (almost 2) because she's going to be a butterfly for Halloween, but I decided they looked more fairy-like than butterfly-like. They were probably 12-ish inches tall, and you could get pink or white.

Hope that helps! Sorry I can't be more specific about what the brand was.

Sarah :)

I am going to order some for DD from this ebay seller. You can email her and she will tell you which wings would be best for your DD.

I haven't checked recently, but I seem to recall that some of the Gymboree costumes have little wings sewn on the back so you don't have to buy separate big wings. I could be wrong, but it may be worth checking.

I saw some recently at Michaels Craft Store for about $5.00. If you have one locally, you may want to try there.

I just got some last week at Clares (accessory store) for $6. They are pretty small....fit my rather petite 21month old.

Stacey, those are great! Do you have any? I'm thinking of getting the newborn as the 2'3" x 2' might irritated her.

No, I just did a search for faerie wings. Serious fantasy people like the weird spelling. ;) I'm thinking about getting a pair for myself. I think the 2' x 2' ones would look awesome on your faerie witch.
