Interested in buying some Zutano items on sale, but unsure of sizing as heard that they run small. He's 5.5 mo, long and lean. Wears 70 in HA with some room yet especially in width, Carters 9 month are snug and about to grow out of. TCP 12 month still ok.

Any suggestions for sizing? Was considering going with 12-18 mo. but unsure as to whether this would be too big.

The coveralls definitely run very small/short, as does anything one-piece (that is, it has arms (or arm holes) and legs). I'd suggest 12-18 months. My DS (6 months old) grew out of his 6-12 month Zutano coveralls ages ago (by about 4, maybe 5, months, if I recall, although he's huge - he's now 20 pounds and around 29 inches). The separates (t-shirts, pants, etc.) run a little bigger - DS is just now about to outgrow his 6-12 months in those. The fleece line (I think they call it "cozies"?) also runs a little larger (including the coveralls), similar to the separates. Hope that helps!

In my experience I thought the seperates ran true to size. I mean, they were about the same as other brands in that size.
Because of the comments here, I had sized up on some items and they were way to big. In the future I will just order the size my son is wearing in other brands.
I did not buy any one piece outfits.

IMO, the separates run true to size, if not a little big. The one-pieces, like the overalls, and the hats run small.

Thanks to all for the advice.

I decided to go with the 12-18 month as I want him to wear it when we go to Europe to visit the grandparents in May.

Its big on him at the moment (widthwise) but too bad in length; it should fit OK for his holidays.

(He was 28" and 17lb 7oz at his 6 month check-up last week).
