How do they compare in warmth to ones by LL Bean or Lands End? I am going to the outlet tommorow (I think) and might be tempted to buy one depending on the price. I am wondering what others think of them and which ones are the warmest.

Thanks,

Jessica.

I can't compare but I just got Ds the North by North Parka and it is really lightweight and seems to be quite warm. The tag said it was lined with "thermolite," and it has a nice hood, too.

Though we live in California. LOL. I can see him getting use out of it just a few weeks a year, but the price is right! I would never have paid $88 though.

We got the is one this year (and live in Illinois!) and I LOVE it!

I also got the matching snow pants and it was a total splurge. I *did* get them in September during the pre-season sale. We get SO many compliments on her coat.... but more than that, it's warm without being bulky, and I'm sure we'll be able to put her in it next year, too.

I have HA and LL Bean coats...

The LL bean ones are warmer if you live in a in a REALLY cold, blustery climate. At least, they seem heavier and more like performance coats w/ polar fleece and such.

The HA ones, however, are very nice and warm. We only get a few days a year under 30 degrees and they have been great. The kids never complain. I am sending my DS skiing in New Mexico in an HA coat.
