I originaly posted about the talbots kids cords but just saw these online on lands end and love them. Does anyone have them? Are the sizes true to size? Should I order 3T or 4T? My son is currently solidly wearing 3T pants. He is 36 inches tall and out of diapers so his waist has gotten skinny. Any advice on sizing would be helpfull.

Thanks,

Jessica.

We don't have these particular pants but we do have the Lands End climber pants. DS is 39 inches and the 3T pants fit him perfectly, so I think you should be good with 3T.

I keep ALMOST pulling the trigger on the order, but I'm worried that they're too thin. Can anyone tell me about the thickness of these?

We have these for DS, and I just ordered another pair one size up for next year! The material is like a sweatshirt, but the cut makes them not look like sweatpants. They are very versatile. I think they run a tiny bit shorter than other LE pants; my son has all 3Ts in pants except these, where he has a 4T. He is about 39 inches tall, but stocky and chunky, so he wears a size smaller on the bottoms than on his tops. One thing I have found helpful is to measure the inseam of a few pants that fit DS well, then use the Live LE Help online feature. You can ask the inseam, waist size, sleeve length, etc. Some LE pants run longer than others, I've found.

Hope you find some you like! From your description I'd guess a 3T would work for your son.

We have these in every single color. LOVE these pants. As PP stated, has the sweatshirt like material, so super-comfy without looking like he has sweats on.

I would say a 3T would be good. DS is a 2T and the 2Ts fit him great!

We also have these in every color. Now that they are on sale, I'm going to stock up on other sizes. As for the thickness, they are a bit thicker than the Babystyle pull on pants for infants, but not as thick as a sweatpant. LOVE THEM!!!

I just got my order from LE and WISH I had ordered more. The material is THICK and substantial, but not with the fleece inside of a sweatshirt. I LOVE LOVE LOVE them, and think they'll be great next year when we're pt'ing. I only wish I had ordered more, because now I can't find them on their site. But I'll keep these in mind when doing fall and winter shopping next year.

They are still available - though the royal blue is selling out in some sizes:

Gah! How did I miss those?! I hunted all over that site today...

Anyhoo - too bad both the sizes I wanted in the cobalt are gone. But I've added the 4t orange and 3 and 4t red to my cart. Woot!
