DS's dance class is changing (the previous teacher was less than acceptable) and now they are going to be doing ballet and tap. I think DS will love the tap aspect but don't you think it would be much more fun if he could make the noise? :) I am assuming tap shoes are expensive and since this is just for a preschool class, is there anywhere I can find some inexpensive tap shoes???

TIA!

Someone posted in Bargain Alert that they found some for $7 at WalMart.
I hope this helps.

Sometimes dance studios let parents bring in "grown out of" childrens shoes to sell to other parents- check around. Also Payless. Consignment or re-sale stores usually have them too.

Tap shoes don't have to be expensive. I really depends on your personal tastes and what the studio uses. If the ones at Wal-mart or Payless don't work, this http://www.discountdance.com/frame_set.php3?mf=/dancewear/page_SHOE_p1.html website will give you some different alternatives. The "Child Jazz Tap" shoe is what most people prefer for boys. However, until he's older, he probably won't care much.
