I'm looking for an outfit to bring DS home from the hospital in.
I really want this to be special - my mom brought me home in a pink dress & bonnet that I still have (it's framed in a shadowbox). This is also the only item of baby clothing I'm buying for DS (my mom, grandma, and MIL have supplied him with enough clothing to last through college, so this is the only thing I need to buy).
I want something really nice-looking. It can be a little more expensive, since it's special. I just can't seem to find anything (plus I get depressed looking at all the super-cute stuff for girls, lol).
Anybody seen anything fabulous lately?

Hi Stacy, how about
http://www.hannaandersson.com/style.asp?from=SC%7C1%7C1%7C156%7C213%7C6%7C%7C
and a hat, booties and zipper to go with it?
If the link does not show up it is the cable knit sweater.
Also lands end had a similiar outfit like this for much cheaper!

If I had a winter early spring baby, I would bring him/her home in this with a sweet knit hat.

If you want something heirloomish, I'd go for something like this: http://www.oneofakindkid.com/sd93096620w.html or this: http://www.oneofakindkid.com/sd93066641.html or thishttp://www.oneofakindkid.com/sd93036631.html

It is really expensive, but my favorite is Papo d' Anjo

The baby bodysuits matched with one of the casmere sweaters would be pretty nice.
Janieandjack.com usually has sweet layette items.

the brand kissy kissy has some really, really sweet hand embroidered outfits that are very soft knit. so very cozy and comfortable, but outrageously cute.

He was born in Feb and I had a velour convertible gown with a matching hat. Swoon! Sophie Dess also makes some LOVELY knit rompers (not t-shirt material - SUBSTANTIAL and heirloom quality) and gowns.

I don't know the style you are looking for, but I tend toward more of the traditional, boutique-y look (I'm from the South!) and my DS came home (and had his hospital pictures done) in a "morning gown" from Ragsland (a home-show company.) It was blue plaid with a white collar, and I had his name embroidered on the collar. Looks like they still sell it:
