Yea! DD has 'big girl' shoes now!

So we went to the Stride Rite store to get DD's feet measured and whatnot. WELL, my mom was in town, and even though I SAID I was just going to measure, and not to buy... well, that lasted about a minute. So DD has a super cute pair of "walking" shoes, that I have to admit are pretty awesome. She was basically taking a few steps here and there, mostly only when I was standing there with my arms out. Well, w got her some new shoes, and she was FLYING around the house today, chasing the kitty; it was CRAZY! I know it wasn't the shoes, but still.

Anyway, I also went to Shoebuy (because I can't pass up a sale, lol) and bought a pair of 'nice' sandals for DD in half-a-size bigger, so hopefully we can get a little extra wear in them (I doubt she'll be wearing them in the next month or so, more in May/June-August). I also got a new pair of shoes for me, which I'm really excited about because I haven't gotten a new pair of shoes since before I got pregnant with DD (seriously - I only own 3 pairs of shoes, and one pair is flip flops). I basically got her sandals for free - $20 off plus the 10% for registering - YAY! And I honestly can't wait to use the next 10 off... Ya'll may have created a monster here...

Yeah, I know, it's me again talking about shoes...

Well, DD still has freakishly small feet; they're hovering between a 3 and a 4, depending on the brand (the 4 is always big, and sometimes the 4 is WAY too big, as is the case with Merrell).

DD has a multitude of Robeez, and one pair of Merrell Junior mocs, which are cute but nearly impossible to get on (even though they are still big on her, I think she just has chubby cankles).

Anyway, I want, for this spring/summer:

1 pair of somewhat nice (to wear to church/Easter/Baptism) white sandals. Not anything fancy or anything. I was looking at the Umi Giggle sandals, but I don't know anything about the brand, and a serach here was futile ;( )

ETA: Willits anyone?

1 Pair of casual, everyday outside sandals. Good for the park, taking walks, etc. I like the idea of the Keen Newport H2: http://www.keenfootwear.com/pdp_page.cfm?productID=245 but I don't like the price, lol. I spent a lot on the Merrell Mocs, and honestly I'm not crazy about them (they're hard to get on, DD finds them hard to walk in, etc.

Qualifications: They have to be bendy, I think I'm the flexible-shoe police. They also have to be good outside, which is why I just can't use robeez all the time.
Oh, and I'd love it if they had them at ShoeBuy, so that I can use that coupon that was posted earlier ;) I've been doing searches over there, and I'm SO lost.

Thanks mamas!

We have had several pairs of Umi's. I have loved every one of them. Not sure they are super-bendy though. Not the hardest shoes ever, but not the most flexible either.
Have you thought about Pedoodles? They were my favorite shoes last year. I love, love, love the flower power ones.
Good luck.

Emily also has a pretty small foot. She is 16 months old and is still in a 3/4. I know alot of people here don't like Bear Feet but this is the best little shoe we have right now. We have them in almost every color, had them from when big sister was a baby. We wear them everyday, make sure to double knot or she will untie for sure...

Here is the link for the shoes...

Good Luck...

How about Preschoolians? I absolutely loved them for DS when he was little. And he had very small feet too, but was a chubber. :)

DD started at size 3.5 with a high instep (she needed an XW according to SR store) when she started walking. Her first pair were Preschoolians, and her second were See Kai Run (SKR). Have you looked at those? Check their web sites for sizes according to the feet measurements. I ordered both online with no problems.

I think that you can only buy Preschoolians from their web site, and I've seen SKR at various places (dandelionbaby.com had a free shipping with SKR code). Someone else posted this sale http://www.poshbaby.com/clearance.html, but I would check on the shipping cost.

I found simple styles with both brands, and both have very flexible soles.
