4 yo boy summer clothes

Most of DS's clothes are hand me downs, but I usally buy him several outfits per season. I need several cute outfits for summer; nice casual clothes for weekends. I haven't seen anything that's inspired me so far.

Any suggestions? No striped t-shirts please LOL! And not too pricey.

I'm willing to try naartjie-their summer one collection looks cute. Any sizing recommendations. DS is 40 inches tall and weighs 34 lbs. I was going to go with the 4, but if the shirts run short, then 5.

we love talbots plaid shorts and t-shirts and polos for out ds. they are so cool and comfy and he looks really cute in them.

My DS is 43 inches and 45 lbs and he wears a size 5 Naartjie tee shirt and size 4 Naartjie pants and shorts.

Last summer when my DS was 40 lbs and 40 inches, he wore Naartjie size 4 tee shirts and size 3 shorts.

I was in Little Me tonight and they have quite a large boys section and all of the summer stuff is on sale! Alot of the T's were $7.99 i think? Going back on Monday w/ Grandma!

The Naartjie shirts are very generous and don't run short at all. I would say size 4 would be good. However the shorts are huge. Very wide. A 3 might be good in those. You just can't beat the price either.

I would choose 4's in shirts and 3's in shorts from Naartjie. My DS is about the same weight but closer to 42 inches tall and the size 4 shorts are ridiculously big, especially the fleece shorts. I'm not always a fan but there are some cute options at Gymboree right now.
