Does anyone have ideas for a baby boy baptism outfit? He will be 9M old. Our church is fairly casual, so I am not looking for the typical white, shiny, $80 outfit. Maybe something simple and dressy and hopefully inexpensive? Also, nothing with characters or decoration of any kind (trucks, bears, etc.)?

TIA!

I did not want shiny either, and at the time, Talbots Kids had some really nice outfits that were perfect for a christening/baptism, but they were too small for him at 9 months. I can't remember where I ordered his, but I got it online, and it was white, but not satin/shiny. You could check at higher end boutiques - they usually carry things that work nicely for christenings without screaming "Christening outfit!"

nak but try the tcp. they have some nicer outfits in the infant section that won't break the bank. my sil used a baby blue outfit from there.

I saw the cutest little seersucker outfit at Nordstroms the other day. It what I would call an Easter outfit, classic style of the shorts buttoning onto the top. HTH

We did the talbots kids thing and it worked out very well. It wasn't an officail baptism outfit but it was plain white top and bottom.

I was just at The Children's Place and they had some nice white overalls/shortalls that would be perfect. I didn't get a look at the price, but nothing is very expensive there. They were a woven cotton, so not the shiny satin and looked perfect to me.

We had a beautiful white jon jon with a short sleeve shirt under it. It was not shiny and he got to wear it for Father's Day and Christening. I got it at Parisian, now Belk's. Think it was around $40-$50. It had a little design/sort of smocking type thing around the collar, but nothing else. I loved it. I think it was made by Carriage Boutique. Nope, just found it, it was Feltman Brothers.

This is the exact outfit. It was adorable. My little man was 6 months at christening, but the outfit was an 18 month...he was big!

I just bought this jumper from J&J. It was even on sale. I never shop there because it seems out of my price range, but this will be perfect! Thanks for the suggestions everyone!

DS was baptized at 15 months.

We did a pale green short jon-jon with a white polo underneath. It was perfect. I bought the jon jon on ebay and the polo at Kohl's.
