My older dd is about 38-39" and 36 pounds. I like the higher waist style on the toddler styles and am wondering if I can get away with getting her a 4T instead of a 4? Anyone have input? Also, does anyone have both the toddler style and the older style? Is there a big difference in looks when on? TIA!

I just got DD#1 a 4 instead of a 4T in the brown/flowers dress b/c I wanted it a bit longer. THe sleeves are too long, though. If you call them, they will give you the measurements (sleeves, center back). Her 4 has a higher waist. I found the 3T was quite a bit shorter than the LE 3T.

I just started ordering from LLBean and have found the sizes to be accurate compared to their size charts. (Well, the 3Ts and ladies mediums at least, so I hope the kid's would be accurate too). The dress is loose but I wonder if a 4T would be too short for your dd).

I think that the kid girl sizes are cut longer (sleeve and total length) and slimmer than the toddler styles. I would call CS and get exact measurements.
