We're just entering shoe territory at our house as our 8 month old is starting to pull up on things and the weather is cooling. Thus far he has worn socks or some cade & co. shoes a friend got us (which I like), but will need bigger ones soon. Any recommendations for soft infant shoes for the coming winter (he is a big guy about 25 lbs with big feet so probably will be wearing larges soon). I see Robeez, pedipeds, etc but would welcome recommendations from those with experience. Thanks!

I think anything like Robeez would be perfect for that age.

I second the Robeez-type for that age. Baby won't need shoes with rubber soles until he's walking well outdoors.

Here's a link for soft-soled shoes:

I love them most when they are sleeping.--Me

Couple of observations: you've got your soft shoes like Robeez. Then you've got your soft shoes that look more like regular shoes but have a nice soft pliable sole, like Pedipeds. Then you've got your regular tiny shoes that look adorable, but have hard soles. Stay clear of them entirely. Of the Robeez types, the main advantages are that they do not restrict the baby's foot and also they are hard for learner walkers to pull off. There are lots other than Robeez (as another mom observed, with that link) like Bobux. They are all great. But you can also get cheapie versions by Bobux at Target. At only $13 per pair, they are obviously not the best quality but so affordable, which is great if you aren't sure your baby will like wearing them and if you consider they will grow out of them really quickly. I have a pair for my DD and she likes them. Of the Pedipeds (and similar, See Kai Run etc) they are utterly adorable and comfy, but some babies will pull them off as they can undo the velcro. Depends on the child.

I love Robeez. They are worth every penny.
