size of bottle nipples

A lactation consultant suggested that when I introduce a bottle to my new baby, I use one with a "smaller size nipple" due to my own body shape. This sent my head spinning as I have No Clue which bottle system this might mean. Can anyone out there shed some light on this for me?! Thanks so much!

I find it hard to believe the lc was not more specific with you...no wonder there are so many moms that don't breastfeed.


ANYWAY, my lc's recommended using Gerber Nuk nipples with slow flow because they closely mimic mom's nipples. I used them in conjunction with Gerber bottles.
