My 8 months old really enjoys eating solid food in these days. But his face & hands are so messy during feeding, and I can't wet enough bounty to clean him up. I am going to travel soon, and it might be difficult to clean him up on the plane. Do you have any tips or recommendations? I saw one of the pampers (especially for hands & face) how are they different from the regular bottom wipes? Thanks!

In general, the wipes meant for face and hands don't have things like perfume and aloe. But I use regular diaper wipes all the time. When I travel I like to keep a handful of those wet wipes in packages (Wet Ones is a brand name, but I usually buy the store brand if there is one) just for cleaning up after meals, etc. Also, I TRY to only feed foods that are really neat to eat.

I think you are referring to pampers wipesters and they work great. As far as I can tell, they are no different except in size from the uncented regular diaper wipes. My only complaint is that wipesters come in a bulky container (no travel size sold in my area) and doesn't lend itself well to conserving space in the diaper bag. You could take a few out though and just stick them in a baggie. I too have used wet ones, generic face wipes that come in convenient little travel packs and they also work fine. I have a hard time find these without scents and these tend to irritate Meg's face a bit if I overuse them, but otherwise they are handy. Try whatever you pick a bit at home just to make sure there's no reaction and then enjoy your trip!

If you really want to be cheap, take some Kleexez Viva paper towels and a bottle of water!

I have to admit this, I take the wet wipes from restaurants that serve ribs and other messy meals. I ALWAYS ask for extras!!

Also, while at a casino recently, I had my whole family stock up on the free wet wipes they have on the counters by the coin cashier's window. Hey, they're free, unscented and come in handy even for adults!! I use them for the whole family after dining on something messy! So what they say "Trump Plaza" on them!!! :) :) :)

What a great idea! I had my 3 year old niece all weekend, and those SURE would have come in handy (especially after DH, a restaurant manager, fed her pudding with crushed oreos for dessert)!!! I'm gonna start accumulating these things NOW! :-)
