5 month old feedings? what? how much?

How much do/did you feed your 5 month old? We are currently using Similac Advance formula and feeding rice cereal at night. Ped has suggested waiting on jar food until 6 months, but increase the cereal to 2x day.

Just curious..... what is/was everyone else feeding at 5 months? and how much?

We actually didn't start cereal until Sarah was 5 1/2 months old. I used only cereal for about a month. We took our time going through the three "basic" cereals (rice, oatmeal and barley) and gradually increasing textute and adding a second feeding. By the end of the month, she was eating cereal twice a day and it was REALLY thick.

Per our ped's recommendation (and my research), we are holding off on solids until 6 months (which is coming up shortly!). So Colin is just getting breastmilk at this point.
