I'm getting killer headaches every single day, and they're starting to wear me out. I'm pretty sure they're allergy-related. Does anyone know anything about Allegra and Flonase and the like for nursing moms?

I don't know about Flonase but I checked with my OB and my pediatrician on Allegra and Zyrtec and they said it was ok.

I took Claritin while nursing Sarah with no problems.

My sister's doctor let her take Flonase during pregnancy and I assume also during breastfeeding.

The lactation dept. at the hospital told me Allegra was fine, and I've taken it with no problems. Hope you're feeling better soon.

I think they are probably fine. The only caution that I have is that Allegra (maybe it's the Allegra D) dries me out so bad that I can hardly blink! I'd be afraid that it would affect my milk supply so I just recommend that you be watchful for that side affect. Drink plenty of water when you're on allergy meds...it'll help the breastmilk and made the meds work better for your allergies. Good luck! Allergies stink!

I use flonase. My Dr. actually thought it was best since it was more localized. It has been a godsend.
