I am a first time mom to be, due 6/9/03. I am planning to breastfeed and bottle feed EBM. Any advice on which type of bottles are best for breastfed babies?

Thanks for any help you can give!

Unfortunately, the best bottles are the ones your baby likes and you won't know that until after the baby arrives. I would try the ones compatible with your breast pump first and then keep trying from there. Generally breastfed babies prefer wide-mouth bottles, but not always. Avent and Dr. Browns are popular choices.

Lots of people prefer Avent bottles dor breastfed babies, but banies vary widely in what they will accept. The main thing is to hold off on bottle feeding until breastfeeding is well-established, which can take a number of weeks.

With my first 3 they liked a disposable nurser with the wide mouth NUK nipple. Works great.
This time I'm hoping the baby like the Avent bottles since I have an Isis pump. If not though I'll try the NUK thing once again. I also have my eye on the Evenflo Elite system.
