We just bought the PIS from the hospital last week. The day before we were there, the Medela rep was there introducing a microwave steam bag and the LC gave us a sample. Granted, I am new to pumping, so I don't have much experience with it, nor do I have a full appreciation for how convenient it will be, but it looks pretty slick.
According to Medela's website, they were available beginning March 28. Here is a link to more information on their site:

If you're interested, it may be worth a call to your hospital to see if they have gotten some samples as well that you could try. Don't know when they'll be widely available.
